plotting

I don’t require heavy plotting for muses to interact! However, if we’re planning on having any sort of pre-established relationship that isn’t covered in the source material, I need to have some backstory on the relationship. ( this goes for any kind of relationship too, whether it be familial, platonic or romantic! ) It’s just easier for me to write if I have something to go off of. This goes for AU’s and OC’s as well.

mains & exclusives

I no longer practice exclusivity. I will however, have mains for characters. This just means that while I write with duplicates, mains will get first priority with replies / plots / etc. When I say I no longer have exclusives, that goes for shipping as well. I will not repeat plots with multiple ship partners, but it’s likely I will have ships with multiple of the same character.

I do not write nsfw on the main blog. I have a sideblog for that. If you are under 18, I will not grant access to it. Don’t lie to me about your age. I have to be comfortable with you to write smut with you.

I have this blog listed as private and selective. What that means is that I will only write with mutuals. Non mutuals are welcome to send questions to my muses, but otherwise I will not engage. If you follow me and it has been 3 weeks and I haven’t followed you back, I probably won’t. Please don’t take it personally, I just don’t like following a lot of blogs because I get overwhelmed.

It takes a lot to upset me. But I do request that anything having to do with senility or terminal illnesses - such as Alzheimer’s / dementia or cancer - be tagged. My activity is incredibly spotty. It may take me a bit to reply to threads, but even with my spottiness, please keep in mind it’s not because I don’t want to reply. I am just scatterbrained. I’m kind of a mess, please be patient!

biography

Della Duck is the twin sister to Donald Duck and niece to Scrooge McDuck. Her parents are Hortense McDuck and Quackmore Duck, though she and Donald were raised by Scrooge. Growing up, Della was always the adventurous type, spending all her time outdoors and trying to solve mysteries. She has a close relationship with her brother and is known to take it personally if he blows her off for any reason. Della is incredibly smart and witty, often able to talk herself out of trouble should she find herself in a sticky situation. Her adventures with her family took her just about everywhere all around the world, though she did spend some time living off the coast of Greece on an island called Ithaquack. There, she befriended the moon goddess Selene (who she later dated). After a few years, she continued her adventures and moved back to Duckburg.When she was about twenty five years old, she found out she was having triplets. The eggs were laid and Della tried to come up with a good gift for her boys. After having been just about everywhere with her uncle and brother, her sights were set on the stars. She always dreamed of going to space and exploring the vast unknown, but Donald was against it. With the triplets on the way, it was too dangerous! But nothing could stop Della Duck! She discovered that Scrooge had built the rocket she designed and curiosity got the better of her. She took it. It was only meant to be a trip around the Earth, a quick test to see that the rocket worked. But then a cosmic storm hit and despite Scrooge’s best efforts, she was struck by lightning and crash landed on the moon. She lost all contact with her uncle and was stuck with a broken rocket.Her helmet destroyed, Della would have died if not for the oxychew that Gyro Gearloose had invented. It provided food, water and oxygen, giving her a chance to survive. When she woke up after the crash, her leg was pinned under a piece of debris. In order to avoid being crushed by the rest of the rocket, Della was forced to amputate her leg. She built a prosthetic to wear and try to find a way home. After a year of being on the moon, she realized that if she wanted to get home, she’d have to do it herself. So she got to work. She discovered that she needed gold to power the rocket and eventually found a gold filling in her mouth, but not before her rebuilt rocket was destroyed by a moon mite. From there, Della discovered the moonlanders, and their city of gold, allowing her to rebuild her rocket.Her departure from the moon was abrupt, as the emergency button had been pressed. Della was upset that she wasn’t able to fulfill the promise she made to the moonlanders who had been kind enough to help her and bring them to Earth. She did leave behind her operation manual so they could follow, unaware that Lunaris was planning an invasion. Finally, Della returned home. She was reunited with Uncle Scrooge and got to meet her sons at last. Dewey was the first to rush into her arms, followed by Huey and then Louie, after reassuring him that there was indeed no trick and she was really there. Della’s need to make up for everything she missed sent her into a frenzy, baking several desserts, telling a story that was probably too scary for bedtime and teaching them to shield surf off the balcony. It was overwhelming and Della feared that maybe things were better when she was gone. However, the family came together and Della learned she was going to have to take things slow while acclimating back on Earth and into her sons’ lives.As a mother, Della can be very laid back, often encouraging her boys to do whatever they wanted as long as they were safe. This attitude toward motherhood came to be a problem and she struggled to do things differently, especially when Louie nearly erased everyone from existence. When she punished him, it was thrown back in her face that she’d done just what he did. Della realized just how broken her family was because of her mistake and she knows she can’t take it back, but she wants to make up for it. She was here now and all she could do was try her best to rebuild the trust she’d broken with her family and make a new life with them.

CHILDHOOD

When Donald and Della were twelve years old, they were taken in by their Uncle Scrooge, due to the sudden death of their parents. The two were raised in his mansion on Killmotor Hill in Duckburg. Della adores her uncle and wants to be an adventurer just like him when she grows up. Because of this, she can often be seen imitating Scrooge in any way imaginable. She’s smart, tough and sharp; she’s even taken on his mysterious grudge against Santa Claus, spending every Christmas trying to catch the jolly bear. She’s always had a fascination for flying and plans to get a pilot license as soon as she’s old enough.

LOST IN SPACE

The urge to take the rocket was too much for Della to handle. She snuck onto the Spear of Selene when she thought she was safe to do so and only planned on a test run. However she hit a cosmic storm that was too big for even Della to handle and lost communication with Earth. She crash landed on the moon. After waking up, she realized her leg was crushed and trapped under debris. Evaluating her situation she came to the conclusion that if she didn’t free herself, she’d be crushed by the rest of the debris, so she amputated her leg. Now she has to learn to rebuild her rocket and get back home to her kids. At every turn she has to defend herself from a moon mite and eventually meets the Moonlanders, an entire civilization living underground.

NEGAVERSE

GENERAL

This is just a general verse that takes place in other writing partners’ au’s or interactions that aren’t in the main verse but I don’t feel like they will need an entire verse to themselves. Each interaction that takes place in the general main verse will be individual, there is no continuity to it.

ADVENTURING

Della has finished high school and has now obtained her pilot’s license. Most of her time is spent helping her uncle find the greatest adventures they could go on, dragging Donald along whenever they can. Eventually, Della moved to Ithaquack to be with Selene the moon goddess. Despite living there, she still constantly adventures with her family. Moving back to Duckburg after a mutual breakup with Selene, she still never slowed down. Adventuring is her life and nothing could stop Della Duck! Not even her newest relationship with Elias Beak. That attitude strained the relationship and eventually caused their break up. Shortly after that, Della found out she was going to be having kids. She laid three eggs and planned on a present to give them. Scrooge had her rocket built as a gift, which Donald was vehemently against.

THE GREATEST STRENGTH

Eventually, Della fixed her ship and returned home, reuniting with her family at long, long last. She now struggles with trying to adjust to life back on Earth and become a part of her kids’ lives. This serves as Della’s default verse.

POKEMON

Della is a trainer who loves her pokemon more than anything. Battling is fun and she loves learning more about each type. When she laid her eggs, she wanted to show her boys the stars. But she took the rocket a bit too early and all of her pokemon were left behind except for her Clefairy, Phoebe. When she crashed and woke up, Phoebe had evolved into Clefable thanks to the moon. She and Phoebe spent the next decade trying to get back home so that Della could meet her triplets.

PRIME VERSE

Very similar to the main verse, The only difference being Della’s relationship to Gyro Gearloose, and a few other small plotted things. ( Webby isn’t a clone of Scrooge, the triplets were used as sleeper agents for FOWL, etc. ) Please refer to the prime verse timeline here.

CROSSED PATHS

Della works full time for SHUSH. When she discovers one of FOWL’s top secret labs, she goes in alone. She’s convinced that if she just goes in and takes out the agent inside, they can get this lab shut down. However, this scientist is much more than she bargained for. He may just be her downfall. LIVING ECHOES

Before Della could take the Spear of Selene, Gyro pushed her out of the way, getting himself stuck on the moon for a decade. Della was left behind to take care of their twins. Eventually Della met Louie, who looked suspiciously identical to her kids and was spending a lot of time around Magica and Lena. It was revealed that he was a shadow of Gladstone’s, who was trying to escape the dime that Uncle Scrooge had imprisoned him in years ago. Unfortunately he succeeded and now is trying to build his own perfect family that has no room for Della’s husband or Scrooge in it. ( WITH GENIUSINVENTOR )

TAKEN

After The First Adventure, Bradford Buzzard and Black Heron weighed their options on how best to obtain the Papyrus. The conclusion they came to was to kidnap Scrooge’s niece and nephew. So they did. After causing an accident and eliminating their parents, the twins were taken and put into FOWL training. In order to get them to cooperate, the twins were often separated and being told lies to turn them against each other. This method worked and by the time they had grown up, the two were no longer close.After a failed mission, Della laid three eggs and attempted to hide them. This failed and now her triplets are being raised in FOWL as well. She’s much more aware of Bradford’s plans to turn the boys against her and is doing everything in her power to stop that from happening, having never really lost her rebellious attitude toward the organization.

SKY PIRATE

After a huge fight with her uncle and her brother, Della took her three unhatched eggs and ran away. She’d prove that she’d be a good mother to her kids; she didn’t need their help. She ended up right outside of Cape Suzette, where she met the pirate captain Don Karnage. He needed pilots, so she joined his crew. Shortly after the eggs hatched, Della and Don started dating and eventually got married. Della couldn’t be happier with her life now. ( WITH TUNNAGAN )

DARK IMPETUS

Having been transported into another world, Della and the rest of the ducks are all separated. Scattered across different worlds, everyone is thrown into a frenzy trying to find each other again. Della is stuck in the Realm of Darkness, isolated from her family once again, and quickly falls to darkness. Her overall goal is to not be lonely anymore, so she will drag everyone down with her if that’s what it takes.

UNEASY WATERS

Della made her return from the moon shortly after the shadow war. At least, that’s what everyone believed. After being around the family and getting to know her kids for a year, ANOTHER Della returned, causing a rift in the household. One is the real Della. The other is a clone made by FOWL and sent to infiltrate and create problems among the family.

SWITCHED

Scrooge McDuck is a powerful sorcerer. His quest for power eventually took over everything else and when confronted about it by his family, Della was caught in the crossfire, leaving her dead. Donald, furious, took his sister’s eggs away and raised them on his own. Scrooge has spent years trying to bring Della back, unaware that Della was never fully dead and essentially made a deal with Hades to return home. This didn’t come without side effects however, the return trip killing all of the nerves in her leg, turning her eyes purple and giving her amnesia.

HEATHERS

( HEAVY TW FOR MURDER, SUICIDE, MANIPULATION, GASLIGHTING, ETC. ) In order to avoid being bullied anymore, Della convinced the popular group to let her in, offering good forgeries as an incentive. So she joined Poe, Magica and Daisy. She got a complete makeover and often has to choose between the group and her brother. Eventually, she meets Cam Bell and instantly falls for him. Their relationship leads to a lot of killing and staged suicides, leaving Della to question everything about the life she’s chosen.

ANASTASIA

Kit Cloudkicker is running a con to find the missing McDuck niece, Delaney. Little did he know that he found her when he met Della, a woman working in a group home in exchange for a place to stay for herself and her triplets, who also has no recollection of her past. All she wants is to find answers about her family, so she goes along with Kit in hopes that she’ll finally find answers. ( WITH WARRAIGOE )

ESCAPE FROM FOWL

When Della came back to Earth with the Spear of Selene, she expected to head back to the mansion immediately in order to reunite with her family and meet her kids. Instead, she was nabbed by FOWL, and is being held prisoner.

PARENT TRAP

Della and Drake didn’t exactly get off on the right foot. When they first met, Drake was determined to tell Della off for the way she was treating Launchpad. Which he still did. But then the two of them went on a date. Now the two are together and trying to make their relationship work while he lives in St. Canard and she lives in Duckburg, along with taking care of their respective children. ( WITH VOIDFCLLEN )

STAR CROSSED

Della adopted her son when he was just a few months old and has been a single mom since. Eventually she met Steelbeak - who she knows as Sydney. He seemed so perfect, he was kind and caring, and he wasn’t scared away by the fact that she had a kid. There was only one little snag: He’s a FOWL agent. ( WITH TUNNAGAN )

HOPELESS

Della’s relationship with Apollo is complicated. Their fwb agreement was going to be harder to continue on with, especially with Della falling in love with him. ( This verse will branch out a few different ways, not necessarily all in the same timeline. Multiple timelines will exist here! ) ( WITH HONEYDEWMUSES )

WONDERLAND

Della and Drake have known each other their whole lives. They went from friends, to dating, to breaking up and not talking for an entire decade. Unbeknownst to him, she had vanished after taking a rocket to the moon. He’s also the biological father to her triplets, Huey, Dewey and Louie. ( WITH DUCKTALES-WCO-OO )

TRIPLE TROUBLE

Similar to the main verse, just with the existence of Darcie Duck. Della, Donald and Darcie are triplets!
